Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..

Hi, I'm REBECCA.

Aimee & Gary | A Samford University, Reid Chapel Wedding

June 25, 2013

Filed in: Wedding

Aimee and Gary were married just a few weeks ago at Samford University’s beautiful Reid Chapel. Oddly enough, of the hundreds of photos I have of  Reid Chapel – this was the first wedding I’ve photographed there! (For those that may not know, I photographed for Samford for 2 years after we moved to Birmingham while still shooting weddings on the weekends). I was excited to be back on campus and loved getting to go to some of my favorite photogenic areas to get some sweet shots of Aimee and Gary and photograph their precious excitement for becoming husband and wife. These two have a quiet and sincere love that can be seen in so many of their adorable little glances throughout the day.
We’ve enjoyed the whole wedding process with these two – you may remember their engagement session that went on the blog last week. Oh how I love getting to know couples at the engagement session! Along every step of the way Aimee made us feel welcomed – among her planning process, their families, and not to mention – making sure we had gotten our fill of Steel City Pops at the reception! Nothing says appreciation like making sure your photographer gets some popsicles : )
Well, enjoy this sweet southern wedding y’all! Aimee and Gary – I hope y’all are loving being newlyweds and are excited about all of the moves/changes/exciting things life has coming your way. Thank you for letting us be a part of your first day as husband and wife!
^ Love Reid Chapel! So pretty. ^ Aimee’s “something blue” was on the bottom of her shoes – notes from her bridesmaids! Also, love how her sweet daddy put her shoes on for her. ^What an excellent wedding party!^ Loved this beautiful setting a The Cates House! ^Twinkle lights own me… every time. ^I may or may not have had 3 of these… ^The perfect sparkler exit with a pretty fab kiss at the end!
