Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..

Hi, I'm REBECCA.

Kelli & David | A Sturgis, Mississippi Wedding

Filed in: Wedding

This is the first of several posts you’ll get to see of Kelli and David! Coming up soon I’ll get to share their engagement session that we had here in Birmingham along with Kelli’s beautiful bridal session we had at her family’s home in Mississippi. I always love getting to work with clients so much before the wedding day because it allows us to really get to know how we all work and get adorable photos together. I can’t wait to share the other sessions! You can look for those posts next week : )
Kelli and David are a perfectly Southern couple. She is a true “cowgirl” (more on that from the bridal session!) and he loves doing anything outdoors – fishing, hunting, and probably anything that could get some dirt on you. It’s obvious they have a sweet love and respect for each other and bring out the best in one another.
Another fun fact about these two is that they met the afternoon of Kyle and Kim’s wedding last year. I’m sure it had something to do with the fact that I photographed that wedding… right? Surely… Either way, I’m glad these two have found one another and so glad to be a part of their first day as man and wife.
Enjoy the sweet wedding day and this beautiful couple! I love that the dress she wore was her mothers’ dress, so sentimental. Other than the first look, I think my favorite part of the day had to be when everything was over and Brett and I slipped away to MSU’s campus with just us and the couple to get a few more shots of the two of them. The feeling right after a wedding is over and you’re left with an in-love, newlywed couple is just perfect! Thanks for taking the extra time to allow us to capture a few more photos you two! Hope y’all enjoy : )
^ I love all of the jewel-tone colors together!^ The Magnolia wreaths were lovely! And very “Mississippi” : ) ^ I loved getting Kelli’s invite in the mail. I’m a sucker for beautiful calligraphy and awesome paper… These awesome beauties were a collaboration of Smock Paper, and BP Invites out of Dallas, TX.
