What a joy-filled day we had with Rachel and Tanner! Their story is so sweet and we know for a fact that they’re going to have a great time with both of their families for the rest of their lives. You see, we photographed Blair’s wedding, which led us to photograph Katelyn’s wedding, which led us to Rachel’s wedding. What’s so great about that? Blair married Rachel’s brother and is BFF with Katelyn, and Katelyn’s brother is Rachel’s now husband. I’ll give you a minute to figure it all out. Basically, Rachel and Tanner’s wedding was like a family reunion for us as well ; )
We found out that one of Rachel and Tanner’s first dates was to Katelyn and Joel’s wedding not too long ago. They grew up knowing of each other but had never really considered dating until around that time. So, I’d like to think we’ve been a part of their story since the beginning, right? We totally have an award-winning photo of them sitting at a table together eating or something from Katelyn’s wedding. I’m pretty positive that photo is what sparked the romance… no doubt.
And what’s my favorite part of their story? They ended up falling for each other rather quickly in relative terms and once he popped the question it was a matter of getting married now, or waiting (He’s in the military). They wanted nothing to do with the wait, so these two planned a precious wedding in less than three months! I love short engagements. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves and how much fun we had with all of these great souls.
Rachel and Tanner (and families) thank you AGAIN for having us by your side on this sacred day. It’s always a joy to see your sweet faces and get to celebrate with your kind hearts beside us!
