Thankfully Brett and I still live relatively close to my family. However, when you’re in the business of photography – weekends are often taken up with work. All of this to say, we rarely are able to go to Mississippi JUST to see my family. However, I am thankful for our many whirlwind trips that combine family and work! This shoot heavily mixed work with family… it’s my brother and his (then) wife-to-be! Their shoot took place back in March of this year. They’ve had their photos for quite some time, but since he’s my brother – he gets photoshoots by his little sister at the price tag of patience! * grin * So, thanks y’all for being gracious and allowing me to put these photos on my blog months late! I have so many more posts of these two to come… bridals, rehearsal, wedding… and maybe even a “day-after” shoot that is yet to happen? I was actually a bridesmaid and not the official photographer at their wedding, but how can a photographer sister (and brother-in-law Brett) not take lots of pics?! I had fun helping them with all the things that I love most about wedding day preparation – save the dates, invitations, programs, photos – which will all make their way to the blog soon!
As you can see it was a lovely day in Mississippi!
I had never incorporated cupcakes in a shoot… why not try it on the bro?Check that * bling *
This is an old family quilt of ours. I’m sure whoever made it never thought that their great grandson (or great-great-great grandson? – who knows…) would one day use it in a photo session!
