Christie and Matt had the most wonderful day in August for their sweet wedding day. I mean really, the weather could not have been better for a Mississippi August day! You may remember these two from their engagement session here in Birmingham a while back. We totally enjoyed their session and I love how having a session with a couple allows us to really get to know them better before the big day. I remember leaving the session and telling Brett, “they’re so cute together!” Of course, the wedding day was no different.
Matt was elated to see his gorgeous bride during their first look. Lots of planning went into their big day since it was also move-in day for freshman at MSU and the wedding and reception were both taking place on campus. Thankfully everything worked out so wonderfully and these two were able to see each other for the first time at a beautiful and quiet area on campus surrounded by pecan trees. *sigh* So lovely!
I think my favorite shot from the day was taken over by Chadiwick Lake on campus. We found a fabulous willow tree and of course those never let you down… The lake had been a special place for these two, so we were glad to be able to incorporate even more memories into their photos on the first day of being man and wife. Here’s to many more joy-filled days! Through thick and thin, I hope y’all can always look back to these photos to remind you of your sweet love and forever promise to one another. Congrats you two!
