Alli and Drew were married on perhaps the coldest day ever… or at least that is what it felt like : ) I was more than happy to brave the cold in order to get great photos, which isn’t saying much since I was all layered up. The couple and wedding party however, win the best of 2012 award! I love when brides prefer outside photos, so I really wanted to get those for Alli. We all worked hard at trying to keep warm as much as possible and I was super impressed that no one allowed the cold to keep them from having fun. I hope you’re all able sit down with a blanket and hot chocolate to look through these photos. From what I could tell, we couldn’t really see those chattering teeth in the pictures ; )
Well, on to the rest of the day! Alli and Drew had their engagement session with us a while back and I certainly loved working with these two again. Just like she did during the engagement session, Alli laughed her way through the whole day. Even when those little wedding day surprises pop up, Alli just handled everything with a sweet smile and laugh. The whole day was lovely and elegant, and I particularly adored her colors. I think my favorite part of the day was being with Alli, her mom, and MOH while getting the bride ready. I really don’t think there were many moments where someone wasn’t laughing!
As always, I’m so thankful to be a part of such a special beginning for a new couple. These two have been dating since high school, so they were more than ready to become man and wife. I’m so glad we were there for day one of your marriage! I hope you love re-living these sweet moments.
^ I love being there for the announcement of, “Okay! It’s zipped – we made it!” Thanks, Alli for the best representation of that moment : ) ^Even when it’s ice-cold outside, these two are going to have a good time. ^ The beautiful Shoal Creek Country Club was a fabulous setting for this sweet wedding and reception. ^ This is what Drew was handed in those not-so-innocent handshakes he received from the groomsmen as they walked into the ceremony.
