Lindsey and Jake have been husband and wife for just a few short weeks now. Of course, after dating since high school, I’m sure they felt at many points that this day would never get here. Oh but it did and it was fabulous! You may remember their sweet fall engagement session from last year (if not, you should take a look!). I’ve been looking forward to shooting another lovely Sonnet House wedding ever since Lindsey and I talked about her booking us for her big day! Everything went so smoothly and the entire wedding party was amazing as they endured a bit of an Alabama summer day to get just the right photos for Lindsey and Jake. Thanks y’all!
There were so many details to love throughout the day, by my goodness… I think I was kind of obsessed with all the maid’s up-do’s! I can’t say enough for having professional hair and makeup for the big day. Lindsey, you were stunning and your hair and makeup look naturally beautiful from the time you got into your dress to the moment you left – you’re such a sweet and gorgeous bride!
One of my favorite things about Lindsey and Jake is that they fully trusted us to capture their day. No matter if we asked them to do something weird (even in their engagement session…like stop on the side of the road at a random cotton field) or when Lindsey consulted us about the light and time of day to schedule their ceremony around – what an honor it was to be entrusted with such a special time. I love when a bride is able to relax and just be a bride on her wedding day.
Y’all are precious and beautiful! I hope you enjoy these adorable moments!
^ Lindsey’s Bella Couture Dress – another one of my favorite details from the day! ^ I’m a sucker for a sweet flower presentation. ^ You see what I mean about hair?! Everyone looked just perfect : ) ^ I love the private emotions that a first look allows! Precious. ^ Pink dresses with green flowers – such a lovely wedding color palette! ^ We had fun together. ^ The groom is ready to go! ^ For anyone that says a first look takes away from the “grand entrance” – this photo says otherwise. (Along with the other photos where Jake is wiping his tears as he watches his bride walk down the isle.)
