I’m excited to finally get these photos up! I was hoping to have them up last week but I just didn’t get to before we left on our little family vacation! So, instead, I’m making this post from the Georgia mountains in a cabin beside a stream… not bad, right? Yeah, blogging while staying at a cabin in the woods is definitely more fun.
So, without further adieu, I give you Mallorie and Justin’s beautiful Birmingham wedding! This was my first time shooting at Southside Baptist in downtown Birmingham and I was so excited to be at this beautiful church! Every time I pass this lovely place I’ve thought about how pretty a wedding would be there – indeed it was! We started our day at the new and lovely Westin Hotel downtown while the girls got their hair and makeup done with the fabulous Brittany Benton Massey while they looked super cute in their matching robes from Mallorie! I just love fun bridesmaids gifts like that – cute on the wedding day and useful forever!
Once we got to Southside, I quickly found out the inside was as lovely as the outside I had always loved looking at! One of my favorite parts of the day (and I’m sure Mallorie’s as well!) was seeing how excited Justin was every time he saw her. He was beaming during the first look and wiping tears during the ceremony as his bride walked down the isle to officially become his wife.
The reception was perfect at The Summit Club and had a fabulous view of downtown with an adorable sparkler exit as these two headed off to their honeymoon as husband and wife. It was so great working with you two and I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I have!
^ Brittney Massey always does such a fabulous job with hair and makeup!! ^ These floral robes were the perfect bridesmaids gift – aren’t they precious?!^ The inside of Southside was just stunning! ^ The groom getting a bit tearful at the entrance of his amazing bride. It never gets old : ) ^ Looks like someone is excited to officially be a MRS! ^ Bacon cake?! Yes. Thank you. I think I had two slices… that’s all I’ll admit to anyway ; ) ^ I love when Brides and Grooms get a private moment to eat before the reception! Such a special time. ^ Bacon sharing – “Lady and the Tramp” style.
