Oh my goodness. I’m so thrilled to finally get this wedding up on the blog! On a personal note, I’m a perfectionist and I don’t do something unless I can do it JUST the way I want to. Well, when life goes wild and you get behind on blogging… by months… there’s nothing perfect about that. So, once again, I’m focusing on progress and not perfection. I’ll be blogging twice a day this week (crazy) to make up for it and I’m so glad to get these weddings out for everyone to see. I do apologize for the delay, and please know that each of these weddings is loved and treasured! Always thankful to be chosen to be a part of these glorious days.
The wedding of Cassie and Gray is particularly bittersweet as I know that a dear friend that was one of Gray’s groomsmen, and also the groom’s grandmother have been taken from this world since this joy-filled wedding day. It weighed very heavy on me, as it should, knowing that capturing these moments for couples goes way deeper than photos of pretty dresses and flowers. It was a staggering reminder that these photos are important. An encouragement to realize once again that I’m not important on these days, but what I do most certainly is.
Cassie was quite possibly a dream bride. Two of her more important parts of her wedding planning were her videography and her photography for the big day. Hello there. Yes please. I loved working with Matt from The Film Poets and would most definitely work with him for every wedding. So. Y’all, go hire them now. My favorite part of Cassie’s wedding was the love, excitement, and present-ness, of Cassie and Gray’s family and friends. The day was about people. Specifically Cassie and Gray and their love for each person there. It’s these moments I truly call a celebration. The moments that go beyond cake and lights to a genuine love of the souls around you. Thank you again for letting us be there to capture your day! Now, enjoy these moments!
