Stacey and Drew are some of the most kind hearted people you’ll meet. He loves her, she respects him, and it’s just sweet to watch them together. Their wedding day was no different. She was thrilled to promise to stand by his side forever and he was smitten with the sight of his beautiful bride.
These two were married at one of my favorite little wedding churches in Birmingham! Oh my goodness. Altadena Valley Presbyterian was just made for weddings. It’s gorgeous! Stacey had so many wonderful details in her day – all toiled over with just enough thought and care. My favorite detail might be a tie. Her dress and her flowers. *happy sigh* Her dress was so very her and fit the day itself so perfectly. And the flowers. I don’t know exactly how many shots and angles I got of Ricky Whitley’s awesome floral arch outside of the church… but it was a lot.
As usual, my favorite part of the day was getting away with the couple after the whole day was over and having some time at sunset at one of my favorite overlooks in Birmingham. Those images y’all. Made my day!
And perhaps the most unique part of the day, Stacey and Drew decided to use UBER for their exit vehicle! It was the funniest thing. They called up their Uber driver, and when Robert pulled up he was so confused… or excited? I don’t think he was sure either. I told him, “So… you know, you’ll be the exit vehicle for the bride and groom…” *Insert Robert’s wide eyes* He then responded, “Are you serious? (lots of laughter) Let me get my special hat out of the back! Good thing I washed my car today.” So, we all had a good time with it and sent these two off as husband and wife… with Robert the Uber driver. I loved it.
Enjoy re-living this day with these two and thank you Stacey and Drew for being so good to us and for taking the time to send a thank you message even while on your honeymoon! Those words always mean so much and I’m so thrilled to get all of these images to you!
