Mallory found our work years ago and sent me an email to ask me about some photo questions. I answered what I could and she thanked me and let me know “Maybe I can call you in a few years to shoot MY wedding one day!” I thought to myself, awh, that’s sweet, but I’m sure she’ll forget about me by that time! I’m glad she didn’t 😉 Fast forward about 2 years, and I get a contact request from one Mallory Self. She said, “So…. I’m back!” I’m very glad you proved me wrong Mallory!
These two came over to Birmingham for an engagement session with us and we knew from that moment that they were some of the most kind and special souls. They have a deep and respectful love for one another with a desire to serve each other well.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was just the fact that these two met in high school and have dated long distance ever since. One story that was told at the reception was that her grandfather dropped Mallory off at a leadership camp for a week one summer and his departing words were to the affect of “Now don’t go off and meet your husband here…” Mallory being the rebel that she is (bahaha) went of and did just that.
Congrats on forever you two. You were so kind to us and I hope you love re-living these moments for decades to come.
