I didn’t meet Sally until the morning of the wedding, but I felt like we had known each other for months by this point. Sally and I have so many mutual acquaintances (and I think half of Alabama knows Sally) and every time I made the connection with someone that I was shooting Sally’s wedding, the unanimous response was, “Oh my goodness, you’re going to L-O-V-E Sally. She’s going to be your most laid back bride and she’s just so fun.” Their words were true. I loved Sally. And she was such a laid back bride : )
Every detail was lovely but Sally’s dress had to have been my favorite. The whole thing – with and without the bolero. It was just stunning and classic. You wore it well my dear. It was sweet to see Shepard’s face light up the moment he saw his bride! I love their first look and how you could tell the moment they met, all was right with the day.
Thank you Sally and Shepard for having us with you on this day. Sally, you told me it was going to be a fun day and the reception was going to be quite the party – you did not disappoint! I think if it had been up to y’all, you could have danced on through the weekend. I hope these photos bring back a bit of that joy and those fun moments for decades to come. Enjoy this sweet time you two!
