When I was asking Jessica what she had in mind for their wedding day and what she was most excited about, she said she wanted people to leave her wedding saying that the ceremony was really sweet and the reception was really fun. I don’t think there was a single person there that would say anything different.
The ceremony was deeply God-honoring and there were tears of joy, words of wisdom, moments of laughter, and a general feeling of love and respect for both Alex and Jessica as they promised to love each other through the good and through the bad. The congregation sang together, pledged to hold these two accountable in their promise to one another, and witnessed the miracle of two becoming one as Alex took Jessica as his bride. I’d say that’s a sweet ceremony indeed.
When it was time to head to the reception, the bottom fell out and it rained. And rained. And then kept raining. But really, I hardly noticed because about the extent of “complaint” from these two as I was riding with them to the reception was, “Wow. It’s really coming down… Oh! Look at the barn! This is going to be a FUN night.” The rain didn’t keep any guests away and certainly didn’t put a damper on the fun for the night. There was so much dancing, so many smiles, and hundreds of well-wishes for these two. They are indeed well loved.
Jessica and Alex, what a sweet day it was for us to be with y’all as you became husband and wife! Truly you are a joy together and as individuals – and a beautiful couple no doubt! Glad to call y’all friends ; ) Now enjoy this preview!
