My blog silence has ended! Get ready for an intense amount of blog posts. I could go into all the perfectionist reasons I haven’t blogged in forever, but we’ll just use the excuse that we just moved. With a 1 year old. In our most intense span of weddings in our 5 year history…
The Lord has provided so much for us over these last few months. They’ve been pretty hard and we’re learning more about each other, our marriage, parenting, how to run two businesses, and just how to be adults in general (does anyone else still feel like a kid at 28??) It has been good to take a step back and ask God to show me what is best for our family and our businesses, not just what is good. So, although it may just seem like my blog was forgotten about, it was somewhat strategic and very much needed.
We’ve been learning more and more about marriage and how having Christ as the foundation for our personal lives and our marriage is what can keep us going even when we feel like we have nothing left to give each other or anyone else for that matter. I’m thankful for these times of learning, but ready to finish unpacking these boxes, find all my stuff, get settled, and maybe like… read a book or go on a walk or something.
Also, I still love my job. I’m working on not having as many long days, but I still absolutely LOVE being a part of the beginning of all of these marriages. I’m passionate about people and loving them and documenting their lives in a way that will make them smile 20 years from now. I know I’m where I’m supposed to be – there’s just not enough of me to go around sometimes ; ) So, therefore the blog gets forgotten about.
So many random thoughts that could have pages to go with them… But since no one cares to hear all of the reasons and excuses I have for blogging or not blogging, I will let you get to this fabulous wedding.

We photographed Julia and Jordan just a few weeks ago in Columbus, Georgia. I think Columbus is one of my new favorite wedding destinations?!? It’s such a gorgeous city and with the 3 times we’ve been there in the last year – it just keeps getting better every time we go!
I loved getting to know these two during their wedding weekend (so glad we got to document their beautiful rehearsal dinner on the river!) And as you can see, these two are perfectly adorable together and make for quite the lovely couple.
It’s always an honor to photograph our military. It’s just a humbling experience to me. I get to document some of the most joy-filled days of people’s lives as my job, while these men and women train for and perform duties that allow me to live my life in safety and freedom. That’s huge to me, as it should be to each of us.
What’s the best part of this military wedding?? BOTH of these two beautiful people serve in our military! But really, I just keep thinking I photographed Barbie and G.I. Joe’s wedding. They’re just that good… ^As you can see, the Ft. Benning Chapel was gorgeous. ^I love the sabre arch exit! Such a fun tradition.
