What a month! I must say, Brett and I are able to breathe a little easier now that October is over. It was a month full of so much good stuff… the only problem was that there were not enough hours in the day. We had 6 engagement sessions, one family session and Ali and Derek’s wedding all within a week and a half. October also held a few more sessions here and there along with a few days to get away with my family. I really loved each of those sessions and getting to know so many sweet couples. I appreciate everyone being patient with me as I tried to get these photos up! I know family and friends are anxious to see wedding photos, so on to the fun stuff!
Ali and Derek were married on a perfectly lovely day in October. This was the first time I had been to their reception venue, Autumn Ridge. I must say, it was a fabulous choice and such a lovely place! Ali had so many fun details throughout the day. She and her family had personal touches on everything from the cake topper to the bridesmaids hand-dyed shoes! You’ll see a few of her cute signs that they made throughout the photos as well.
You may remember these two from their engagement session several months back. Derek had just flown in from Texas minutes before our session and these two were excited to get some time together since their relationship has been long distance pretty much the entire time. Ali is originally from Georgia, thankfully, this “Texas Cowboy” and “Georgia Peach” met during college at the University of Alabama. I was so excited for Ali and this day because it meant that she was finally going to be with Derek in the same part of the country again… no more plane rides!
