Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..

Hi, I'm REBECCA.

Nicole & Jasper | Starkville, Mississippi Wedding

Nicole and Jasper’s wedding day was so relaxed and fun to photograph! Their ceremony took place at Adaton Baptist Church – which is where Brett and I went to church while we were in Starkville. We love being able to go back often to get to see everyone, especially for weddings. It’s like homecoming at a Mississippi State wedding! Nicole and Jasper’s wedding weekend was no different. We were able to see so many wonderful college friends and I think this wedding may have had a record number of past and future brides and grooms! Love it.
Nicole did a wonderful job of organizing the day and planning to make sure things ran well. I love that Nicole chose maroon bridesmaids dresses – you can read a little about Nicole’s dedication to MSU (and maroon) from their engagement session a few months back. The getting ready time with the bride and bridesmaids was full of laughter and fun. What a sweet and lighthearted day! The guys on the other hand… well, I’m just glad I was able to get them to stop laughing long enough for a few formal shots. Of course, I’ll take a laughing, rambunctious group of guys over duds any day : )
After their sweet ceremony, Nicole and Jasper had their reception at Memorial Hall on MSU’s campus – which definitely brought back memories for us since that is where we had our reception as well! I love the courtyard in the back and you can see a few couple shots that we were able to sneak in back there.
My favorite part of the wedding day was during the ceremony when Jasper was about to see Nicole for the first time. Once everyone stood up he realized he wasn’t going to be able to see his bride at first, so he quickly hoppped up a few steps to get a good look. Beaming and satisfied, he shuffled quickly back in his spot to wait for his beautiful almost-wife.
^ MSU garter : )^ Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue^ I love this bridesmaids group shot! What beautiful ladies!^ Thankfully this old gravel road was the perfect spot for our photos. We only had to dodge a couple of vehicles in the process…^ That MSU cake was beautiful! And delish…I also loved the hunting themed groom’s table. Perfect for a southern wedding!^ A fabulous cowbell exit. The perfect ending to their wonderful day!
