Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..
I was excited when Caroline contacted me about doing some Bridals for her. Of course it’s exciting when anyone wants me to take pictures for them, but this gave me the opportunity to shoot in my “hometown” of Brandon, Mississippi. It was also fun because we went to church together many years ago and it’s always great to photograph people that I knew from “back in the day.” She was getting married in Oxford, Mississippi – so she wanted to make sure to get some Bridal photos in the church that she grew up in as well.
I thought Caroline had some neat and sentimental things going on with her whole wedding day attire. If I remember correctly, the dress was her mom’s dress that they had re-made along with buttons from her grandmother’s dress. Also, her necklace was a chain with her baby ring on it. Since the dress was her mother’s, they had a great idea to bring photos from her Mother’s wedding day and bridal portraits for us to mimic. So, we did a good many traditional poses along with adding in some more contemporary shots later in the shoot. Overall, it was a fun afternoon with these two ladies! Caroline got married this last weekend and is off to a surprise honeymoon destination with her new hubby. Congrats you two!
