Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..

Hi, I'm REBECCA.

Erin & Matt | A Peacock Colored Wedding in Alabama

Erin and Matt became husband and wife just a very few weeks ago! Erin had so many little details planned out and knew what she was looking for out of her wedding day. You may remember these two from their engagement session not too long ago in Tuscaloosa. I can’t believe time has come and gone so quickly! Coming up soon we’ll have Erin’s lovely bridal session on the blog! I think one of my favorite parts of their big day had to have been some of the tiniest details – the groomsmen’s cufflinks! Erin searched far and wide to find all of these awesome superhero cufflinks and they were so adorable! Of course, all of the guys had to have a matching undershirt as well : )
Another neat feature I noticed about their day was Erin’s invitation for the guests to join them in their “unplugged ceremony.” This is becoming more popular and I really love where this trend is heading! It’s basically asking guests to treat the ceremony like a roller coaster… keep your hands (and cell phones) in at all times and enjoy the ride. One day I may put up a blog post of pictures where precious moments were ruined by a well-meaning guest stepping in the isle for that one photo – causing the professional one to only be good for tossing. * sigh * All that to say, I really love how in Erin’s photo all of the guests are actually participating in the ceremony and all eyes (not cell phones) are on the beautiful bride as she processed down the isle. Don’t get me wrong, I love for guests to take photos – just make sure for the couple’s sake it’s at the right time! So, to all of Erin and Matt’s guests – job well done y’all.
Well, y’all enjoy Erin and Matt’s sweet wedding day! We loved getting to photograph at these two lovely locations and certainly enjoyed working with so many great vendors! I must say… Erin and Matt’s Edgar’s Bakery cakes miiight have been some of my most favorite ever. Oh. my. goodness.
^I love Morgan Ashley Salon! It’s actually where I get my hair cut now that we’re on this side of Birmingham. Love! ^ Gotta love a vintage couch!^ Oh yes. The super hero cufflinks. Ahhhmazing. ^ We were in good hands… ^ Look at all of those eyes on the bride and groom. Hey unplugged ceremony!!^  Somebody’s excited ; ) ^ Love these after-ceremony hugs!!^ Another favorite vendor: Birmingham Bridal Carriages. Always so kind!^ Have you ever seen so many comic book characters vying for a garter? I think not… ^ And they’re off! Congrats you two! I hope married life is off to a fabulously blissful start : ) Thank you for choosing to have us with you on day 1!
