Hi there! Welcome to the blog. It's the history of our time with couples and families during the days that they will one day treasure as the days that mattered most..

Hi, I'm REBECCA.

Allyson & Chris | An Oak Mountain Park Engagement Session

January 16, 2014

Filed in: Engagements

It’s wedding week for Allyson and Chris! I’m so excited we were able to have this session with them on one of Chris’ very few trips back to Birmingham these days. You see, he’s a military man based “way out yonder”, so time with Allyson spent in Birmingham is quite the rare occasion. I’m thankful these two are about to become husband and wife and even more-so thankful for the military men and women that fight for our freedoms day in and day out. Allyson is about to enter into the special calling of, “military wife” and she’s going to be a wonderful one at that.
What makes their story even more special is the fact that it started way back in high school. Like so many high school sweethearts, everyone knew they were the perfect couple together. However, as life seems to happen, they ended up going their separate ways after getting to college. They occasionally kept in touch, but sparks didn’t start to fly again until after they were both out of school and had moved on to big-people jobs and responsibilities. Curiosity of what could have been and what could be got the best of them (hooray!) and these two started chatting again. Chatting turned into long talks, skype, letters, texts, and everything else fun and precious. As you can see, what started after meeting on a church youth choir trip so many years ago is about to “end” as the beautiful beginning of a husband and wife story.
It’s hard to believe that Allyson has been a sweet part of my own life for eight years, and now that I feel I have written the back of a romance novel, I’ll leave you with the fun we had at Oak Mountain State Park here in Birmingham ; )
