Happy Independence Day from Birmingham, Alabama’s “Thunder on the Mountain.” We were afraid it was going to get rained out, but thankfully we ended up at a great spot for our little 4th of July fireworks watching. We had a little extra space around us… not sure if that is just what happened or if people were afraid of my camera set up on the tripod? I tried to keep a low profile with the camera, but it’s hard to miss the 70-200 lens, hood included, at a little church fireworks gathering. I did at least keep the tripod low to the ground with us! It was a great setup because I had one of our remotes to trigger the camera, so I just played with settings occasionally, but got to actually WATCH the whole show myself instead of through my itty bitty viewfinder on the back of the camera. Yay for camera freedom… and still getting photos! Have I mentioned I love fireworks?
Happy 4th to everyone! I’m so thankful for the free country that we live in. Thank you to all of our military for protecting such a precious right.
