We’ve been looking forward to our trip to Louisiana for quite some time now! Kayleigh and Justin tied the knot just a few weeks ago in Monroe, Louisiana on what had to have been the best weather for Louisiana in the summer! Of course, I knew there would be no need for me to check the radar throughout the day… Kayleigh just so happens to be West Monroe’s most adorable little Meteorologist! I so love seeing people with unique jobs that God designed them just perfectly to fill. I also love that she grew up in Birmingham, and also went to Mississippi State. Basically, our paths were sure to cross at some point, right? Well, I’m so glad they did!
I so enjoyed the trip from the hills of Alabama through my pine-tree-filled home state of Mississippi all the way to the Louisiana Bayou. The older I get, the more I love the South! The oak trees at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s home were beautiful and the perfect background for our photos that day. The sun peeked in and out all day at just the perfect times and the sunset at the Bayou Desiard Country Club was the perfect ending for our time with the couple.
The most surprising part of the day for everyone was the end… I’ll let you see what it was. Hint: “the king lives on.”
Y’all enjoy this sweet southern
^ I’m a sucker for baby’s breath wreaths! So… fun. ^ Ah yes, the behind-the-door-note-exchange. Always sweet : ) ^ Such a neat and beautiful place!^Sweet first moments together after seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony.^ A stained-glass ceiling? Why yes, I do love it!^ MSU (and LSU) cowbells for their leave! Perfect : ) ^ I told ya! Elvis was definitely a hit with the guests. I loved hearing people all around me as the murmur spread, “Wait… who’s driving the car? Is that… What! It’s Elvis!”
