So, this post should have been up before the wedding post but life just happens differently than planned sometimes : ) Heather and Alec came to Birmingham for their engagement session on a perfectly crazy rainy day. Heather and I had both hoped for the best and just knew the rain would stop. We even kept with plan A and met at the non-rain-friendly first location just knowing the rain would give out. After chatting through car windows and under umbrellas for a few minutes, we decided to head to Samford University for their session. Since I know the place rather well, I knew there would be some inside locations available for us to utilize. Heather’s brother went to Samford and she had considered it herself, so she was happy to make the location change. Thankfully, after about an hour – the rain stopped! We were able to get some good outside shots and these two were so easy going throughout ALL of our many plan changes. If you read about their wedding, you know Heather is a fab musician. I loved being able to incorporate her guitar into their images! I also loved being serenaded while photographing these two… I could use more of that ; )
